Barack Obama: Change We Can Believe In

Good Slogan

There was a nice piece in Ad Age not too long ago by Al Ries, the guru of branding. He spends some time on the importance of campaign slogans in the political world and applauds Obama for encapsulating the mood of the country after 7 years under Bush in a nice, succint manner.

I totally agree. Love how Obama makes his slogan aspirational. Change. Believe. These concepts tie in nicely with the other word Obama has cornered the market on -- Hope. These are not actions, these are ideals. And, given Obama's lack of relative experience in politics, the promise of the future is really all he can hang his hat on. Bush was a man of action. So is McCain. It's hard to say what Hillary is besides annoying. And unfortunately for her, I don't think there's much she can do to change that.

Ha, you're one to talk. It is, in fact, "you're" not "your". Also, you just made such a general statement, that I can't help but wonder who helped you to compose your sentence. Bush? Stop generalizing and learn the facts. You think Mccain will be in office long? He's practically on his death bed, and if you watch any of Palin's interviews (i.e. speeches she did NOT memorize), then you would see she is "ill equipped" to run our country. You might want to go back to some older Mccain footage and see how many times he's changed his "strong ideals" just for votes in certain areas. He has no idea what to do for this country either. Some months ago, he thought our economy was the best it's been in the history of America. I don't want that to be our president...

Socialism. End of democracy. Vote Osama Bin Ladin. Or that dumb muslim nigger Barack. Take your pick.

Barack Obama supports taking hard working American's money and giving it to poor, lazy, and the undeserving of our society. McCain not Hussein.

If Obama is elected, I have no doubt that within the first two years he will be impeached or more than likely assasinated.

WELL GUESS WHAT PEOPLE!!!!

HE WAS ELECTED...this post is directed to the uneducated fool who referred to barack as a "socialist nigger". And for those who consider the unemployed, inner city of America undeserving, maybe you had chances that other people did not. Maybe your skin color helped you advance to where you are, maybe it didn't. Maybe you weren't directly affected by our tumulting economy; either way I bet every "undeserving, lazy" in our society today, works longer hours, and more gruesome jobs than any of you. You have no idea how much needs to be done to this society, especially since racism itself has not depleted. Ultimately, one thing matters here...you have not only an african-american, but a bi-racial, eloquent, intelligent young man as your president, in other words, the black population has ascended to the top!...Sorry redneck!

Congrats to Barry Obama supporters. Now that he is unscripted we can all see how unimpressive he really is. BTW - Barack is not "African American"! He is 1/6th black and that does not meet the sacred "African American" definition.

Enough is enough with how racism is keeping good people down. Racism may be dying a slow death but it is on life support and Obama is living proof.

It is only a matter of time before Barry Obama is implicated in the mess which is Illinois politics.

The Dark Knight is probably one of the best movies outright now.
Whichever team takes the 2-1 series lead, I will be right back here for game 4.

The advancement in smartphone technology has lead to a lot of
big players jumping in on the action. At some point, irrespective of
the utility of any app, price sensitivity decides the popularity.

The program would notify them when they reached their pre-set limit,
at which point, to the keystroke, they could quit.
